Yesterday our South American group visited an English boarding school, the Princess Helena College in Hertfordshire.

Our day started with a tour of the school and we then joined in with some lessons! We joined lessons in…History…German…French…Geography…English…Biology…and many more!

One of the favourite lessons was photography. Students had to take photos in and around the school, that would create an alphabet collage, their name or a certain word.

We had lunch together, which was followed by a group activity with the PHC students.

In the afternoon we joined more lessons, before getting the coach back to Cambridge.

We were made to feel very welcome and it was a fantastic and very interesting day 🙂

Happy New Year from everyone at CAE!

We are already in our second week of our South American Group course! Time flies when you’re having fun 🙂

We have students from Chile, Brazil and Argentina taking part in a 4 week Homestay course! A great way to improve English, make new friends, take part in exciting activities and visit new places!

This week we have the Groller group from Austria here at CAE. On Monday they explored Cambridge, here are some photos from their excursion 🙂

Bryony’s Class

Last week in Bryony’s class the students were learning about graffiti and debating whether it’s art or vandalism. They looked at Banksy pictures and tried to find the messages behind the pictures.

Rob’s Class

Rob’s class were studying a famous short story and looking at the vocabulary and meanings of the story. They were working together to read and talk about the story and then tell their own short stories.

On Friday the students were learning about the history of London to prepare for their visit. They worked as teams to design and make a timeline of London’s history including lots of interesting facts.
