Our second T course is well under way, and we’ve been busy making new friends and getting to know Cambridge!

On our first day we explored the city centre and had a very British BBQ. On Tuesday we rivalled Mary Berry in our baking of muffins, and then we bowled the night away.

This evening we had a very tense few hours watching England lose the World Cup Semi Final but we had fun doing it.

We had a gorgeous final day yesterday, saying goodbye to our current teenage students.

We spent the afternoon punting on the Cam in the sunshine. Our students are quite good!!

In the evening we had a Chocolate Party at CAE and we played games in the garden as the sun set.

We’ve had a wonderful two weeks and hope we see you again soon!

We discovered some hidden talents at CAE this week! We held a bin bag fashion show, turning the Banana Club into a red carpet catwalk and our students into models and fashion designers.

Each group designed three outfits from just bin bags, newspaper and tape. They had to describe their look and inspiration whilst walking the red carpet!

Aren’t they a talented bunch?!

Our teenage students have been taking part in some fun, and creative afternoon activities this week. They’ve been decorating canvas bags in the art room, cooking up a storm in the kitchen and impressing CAE staff with their rounders skills at the park!

In the CAE kitchen, students wowed us with some yummy chocolate muffins which I can promise taste as good as they look!

We’ve had a marvellous week here at CAE in the beautiful sunshine with our lovely students and we can’t believe we’re already half way through our first teenage course!!

On Saturday we went to London and had a lovely day on the river, in the parks and visiting the Queen! We spent time in Greenwich, Westminster, Trafalgar Square and The National Gallery.

Adri, one of our fabulous summer staff, even tried her hand at some art outside the National Gallery.

Today we are having a relaxing Sunday after our busy day yesterday, playing some games in the CAE garden and having some chill time.

This evening things got scary as we went on a ghost tour of Cambridge, learning about the forgotten history of the city we’re standing in. There were tales of murder, suicide, vampires, witches and dark secrets hidden in the streets. Some of our students even tried their hand at acting!

On Monday afternoon students went into Cambridge for a tour of the town and had a fun photo challenging involving a potato…more on that later…

The weather was beautiful for our evening BBQ and we played games in the school gardens as the sun set.

What a lovely first day making friends and memories underneath the summer sun.

Today marks the first day of our Summer Teenage Homestay Course. We are welcoming 25 students from 7 different countries for our first course and we’re so excited to meet them.

Our new students are busy arriving at the airport today, meeting our staff members and making friends. They will soon be settling into their new homestays and tomorrow morning they will come to school and begin their course.

We have an action packed two weeks planned, involving lots of learning, activities and fun! On this blog we’ll be posting photos and updates of all the things we get up to over the summer.
